With a strong eye for fashion and craftsmanship, the Regts family has been bringing together trendy shoe collections for Guelph’s shoe lovers since 1993. Founded by John and Kathy Regts, IF Footwear Boutique is a family owned business based in the heart of Guelph, Ontario. Since 1995, IF Footwear Boutique has been under the care of the Regts son, Joel and with the assistance of Jesse in menswear and store promotions.

Kathy, who got her start in the shoe business working for Rizzo & Rizzo shoes at 17, has been in the shoe industry for almost 30 years. She and Joel stay on top of the latest footwear trends by attending shoe shows together. Joel, who loves being part of the family business, says, “Shoes should be fun, cheerful – make you happy – make you fall in love.”

IF’s first home was 72 Wyndham Street North in downtown Guelph. Two years later, they moved to 31 Quebec Street and expanded with a second store located in the University Centre. IF remained at the Quebec Street store for approximately 11 years, when the Regts decided to expand into St. George’s Square where it now stands. Today’s store is a 2500 square-foot boutique filled with a wide selection of top designer footwear brands.
